Are you concerned at all that the lack of a secular education might impair the child's ability to understand and interact with the world, and to make informed decisions?

Not really. Because most of all, as you know, we usually mostly stick to ourselves. Our children don’t go ‘in to the secular world’. So far things have gone pretty well. There might have been a few cases where things went wrong, but that’s by far not the majority (not even half of it).

When the time comes someone has to ‘go into the world’ (i.e after marriage) and he needs to find parnose, people will usually figure out how to interact. They’re not stupid. :) I’ve seen it countless times. After all, there are many Haredi-owned businesses run by Jews who didn’t enjoy a secular education when they were children.

And if someone really needs one, he can always get it after his chassene.
